Agritourism in crisis/ Zhupa: Rural development will be a major priority of the DP program

Ina Zhupa, a candidate for deputy in the Democratic Party, has raised concerns about the difficult situation that agritourism is facing in Albania today.

 In a status, Zhupa highlights the lack of state support for foreign and domestic investors aiming to develop rural areas.

During a visit to "Botë Farm" in Finiq, invested by American entrepreneurs Shawn Simons and Kyle Ross-Drevlo, Zhupa emphasized that these investors have not received any assistance from the Albanian state.

Zhupa says that rural development will be one of the main priorities of the Democratic Party's program upon coming to government, citing immediate measures to establish a flat and low tax, regulate infrastructure in rural areas, and ensure that European funds are used transparently and benefit only those who work honestly for the development of their areas.

"IPARD funds are the only help for us, but the government stole them and we are the ones who suffer, they are blocked and we can no longer apply," says Shawn.

They choose to invest in Albania and find closed doors, they find the incompetence of a corrupt state.
