"There is no debate with 'the swamp'", Tabaku: I cannot sit

Plarent Ndreca, a Socialist Party candidate for MP on the open list, debated with rival DP candidate Jorida Tabaku when asked if he thought it was correct that there were no televised confrontations during the electoral campaign.

" There is no debate about the swamp," he said when invited to A2 CNN.

"Despite the fact that I have consideration for Mrs. Jorida Tabaku, who is also competing on the open list, you cannot have debates with the "swamp". It is a matter of categories. Luftëtari cannot play on the same field as Real Madrid, so... There are very big differences and it takes a lot of time for them (the opposition) to get closer and then we can be at the same table", added Ndreca.

The immediate reaction of Jorida Tabaku, who declared: " He is right, we are very far away. I cannot sit at a table with people who are directly involved in corruption. I feel sorry for the language they use, in the absence of political confrontation. If the political offer is tallavaja and dancing, there is no point in having a debate. This is not the first time it has happened. Even in 2017 and 2021. As far as I remember, there was no political confrontation."
