A tragic event took place on the tourist island of Santorini, Greece, where a 59-year-old Albanian woman lost her life while working in a hotel in the Oia area.

According to Greek media reports, the woman, still unidentified by name, suffered a fatal accident while working, when a bed structure fixed to the wall suddenly detached and fell on her head, causing serious fatal injuries.

Despite the immediate intervention of the emergency services, unfortunately, the victim could not survive and died at the scene.

The Greek authorities have arrested the owner of the hotel, who will face investigations and questions about the safety conditions in the work premises. Investigations are continuing to clarify the full circumstances of the tragic accident.
