Diaspora Coordinator, Jozefina Topalli, thanked the Albanians who filled the hall in Thessaloniki, including those who had traveled 5 hours or came from Germany to meet Sali Berisha because they believe he will make a big difference.

Topalli also had an invitation for all Albanians who were unable to register to come to Albania on May 11 to vote because the diaspora is the power of rotation and change.

"Before every meeting during this period in recent months, I have experienced special emotions. Even here today in Thessaloniki, I do not see you as my compatriots but as part of the living Albanian spirit that beats throughout the world."

In the faces of each of you, I see not only sacrifice, but Albanian pride. Of the Albanian man, woman, son, and daughter who has reestablished life in a foreign country through sacrifices and the history held in your souls.

Anyone who 30 years ago crossed the mountain, the dark night hiding behind a tree waiting for the light to dawn is not an immigrant but a silent hero of modern times. Most of you and your parents are the Albanian heroes of modern times. Here I met from Librazhd, Fier, Shkodra and Dibra. Most told me that they have registered and voted.

If you have not had the opportunity to register and have not had the opportunity to vote, come one day to Tirana or to Dibër, Vlora or wherever you have a voting center. Come and make a great sacrifice, as you have made the sacrifice for your family, come and make a sacrifice for Albania. I know that on May 11 you will take the road and come to vote, because even today here in this hall there are friends who have traveled 5 hours by train to come from Athens, another had come from Germany to meet Sali Berisha who will make a big difference.

I have no doubt. The power of Albanians outside the country's borders is an extraordinary electoral power. The only one that can make epochal change. We need an extraordinary change, not just rotation.

We need to restart a state from scratch, with law, social justice, higher salaries, dignified Albanians free from fear.

You know very well that the departure of 1 million Albanians in the last 10 years is not a matter of emigration, but rather the notion of expelling Albanians to perpetuate the power of the one who is in Tirana today. When they leave the country, there are several reasons. Those who are hungry leave. Those who are afraid of power and dictatorship leave the land and the country, and those who do not feel dignified and lack freedom are humiliated. If they do not vote for the government, they do not receive any service from their state.

So on May 11th, you are the power of rotation and change.
