39-year-old Albanian sentenced to 16 years in prison arrested in Greece,

Eduard Vushaj, 39 years old, internationally wanted, has been arrested by Greek authorities as part of Operation "Red Card".

Vushaj was sentenced in 2016 by the Shkodra Court to 16 years in prison for the criminal offense of "Armed Robbery." According to the court file, in 2013, in the village of Grabom, he, in collaboration with another person, stopped a vehicle with two citizens and, at gunpoint, took their money and vehicle, also injuring them with a knife.

The operation was finalized thanks to the close cooperation between the structures of Fast Albania, DVP Shkodër and Interpol Tirana, which, through the exchange of information with their counterparts in Athens, enabled the capture of the wanted man.

Currently, cooperation continues between Interpol Tirana and Interpol Athens on the extradition procedures of Eduard Vushaj to Albania.
