CEC tests PEI devices to be used on May 11

The Central Election Commission tested today the electronic identification devices that will be used in the May 11 elections.

Deputy Commissioner Lealba Pelinku was present during this testing, and she emphasized that work is being done to ensure that this process does not have any problems on May 11th.

"Following the audit of the May 14 elections, measures have been taken to re-verify the equipment," said Pelinku.

The CEC Deputy Commissioner announced that 31 voting centers are still without an operator of the PEI device.

"At the moment we speak, there are 31 voting centers still without an operator," she said.
