The serious incident occurred in the area of the Polymylos toll road, between the cities of Kozani and Veria, where a truck with Ukrainian license plates lost control and crashed into two vehicles before forcefully hitting a toll booth.

The collision occurred in severe weather conditions, with dense fog and poor visibility considered significant factors that may have contributed to the accident. After the collision, a massive fire engulfed the vehicles, leaving behind a tragic scene.

Two people were burned to death on the spot, while four others were injured and rushed to hospital. Two of the injured have been admitted to the North Hospital and two others to the Kozani Hospital. Fortunately, official sources indicate that the injured are out of danger.
