"Asphalt for the eyes and cheeks", Këlliçi publishes photos: Tirana Municipality is paving roads without a project, just for elections

"Asphalt for the eyes and cheeks", Këlliçi publishes

The political leader of the Democratic Party for the Tirana region, Belind Këlliçi, has accused the Municipality of Tirana of violating electoral law through unilateral interventions in infrastructure, just a few weeks before the May 11 elections.

In a post on social media, Këlliçi published photos from a street in a neighborhood of Tirana, where, according to him, only a layer of asphalt is being laid without any official project or decision from the municipality.

"Electoral asphalt as expired make-up," writes Këlliçi, considering this intervention as a pure electoral maneuver and an insult to the residents who, according to him, have been facing a lack of basic infrastructure for 12 years.

He calls on citizens to put an end to "abuse of taxes and citizens' trust" on May 11, considering the elections as an opportunity for reflection and change.
