Berisha responds to Rama: Antony Blinken is non-grata in his country today for

DP Chairman Sali Berisha has responded to a statement made today by Prime Minister Edi Rama, where the latter said that he can cross the ocean whenever he wants to go to the United States of America.

Berisha said that today Antony Blinken is non-grata in his country, after he came to Albania to cover up the McGonigal scandal for Edi Rama.

"To make me comment on the statements of a man who is afraid and terrified of journalists, I don't know how ethical it is to respond to him. He and I and every politician have a basic obligation to citizens to appear before journalists. Yesterday, the day before yesterday, I read an article. President Donald Trump has appeared before journalists, from January 20 until now, 20 times more than his predecessor in 4 years. You understand that with this anti-transparency and anti-media stance, it is not worth considering him for anything.

As for what he said, I can say two words. Antony Blinken is today non-grata in his country and I hope he will be brought before the American justice system. I also say that if Blinken made a flash visit to Albania, paid or not, to cover up the McGonigal scandal for Rama, the cauldron is boiling. That scandal never closes. This is my response to what he said," Berisha said.
