Berisha: We will do everything so that next Ramadan there will be no more

The President of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, participated in an iftar hosted in Kamza, the community of Kala e Doda, where the President of the DP Kamza, Petrit Doda, and the DP MP, and candidate for MP in the May 11 elections, Petrit Gjorgji, were also present.

Speech by the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha:

First of all, I would like to thank the doctor very much for the invitation he extended to me, to be present, honored at this iftar together with you, representatives of the honorable community of Doda Castle.

I pray to God that He accepts your sacrifice, your fasting, and turns it into good for you and your families.

I express my greatest respect for you, and I assure you that I have a special respect.

Hardworking people, people of sacrifice, people who sweat more than others for a better life.

I guarantee you that we will do everything so that next Ramadan, next year, there will be no more extreme poverty in this country.

We will do everything this year, not so much for electoral purposes, but with all our hearts we have declared the year of the Diaspora.

We have declared the Year of the Diaspora as a great obligation that Albania must feel towards those men and women, its sons and daughters who left due to the inability to live in this country, to do everything for them to return to Tirana, to return anywhere in Albania and to rebuild their dreams in Albania, to facilitate them, to help them in a new beginning of their lives, in their country.

So, on the level of sacrifice, let us once again wish that everyone's sacrifice will be transformed into a blessing for the future, and I thank you, I bow with great respect to your sacrifices, to all the residents of Kala e Doda, to those who now live in the Castle, and to others who are scattered in Albania and abroad.

Once again, may God accept them.
