Bylykbashi: The new DP statute gave power to collegial bodies

The innovations of the statute of the Democratic Party, its deputy, Oerd Bylykbashi calls them instruments for the democratization of the party, after a long period of autocratic decisions.

In an interview with Euronews Albania, Bylykbashi said that the new statute gave power to collegial bodies with the aim of strengthening membership.

"We removed the powers of the chairman, the general secretary that he had taken over during these years, we gave them to the collegial bodies, the presidency and the college for the strengthening of the membership, which was primary. "Something else is that we brought the referendum", said Bylykbashi.

For the latter, the example of the procedure to be followed is the dismissal of former President Lulzim Basha.

As for the factions, they are formed by creating a program different from that of the party and receives the support of 15% of the members of the National Council, branches or deputies of the Democratic Party, which with today's numbers are called 8 deputies.

"It is not an instrument for resolving a particular crisis. "It gives you the opportunity to launch a different program within the party, to feel at home, or to return to their home ," he said.
