Llagam and Bushka's Bargaining for the Constitutional Court, Këlliçi: They will answer for this coup, they will be sued in SPAK

Llagam and Bushka's Bargaining for the Constitutional Court,

Member of the Presidency of the Democratic Party, Belind Këlliçi, has reacted on behalf of the Democratic Party to the bargaining between Socialist MP Klotilda Bushka and the President of the High Judicial Council, Naureda Llagami, regarding appointments to the Constitutional Court.

Këlliçi said in a statement from the blue headquarters that all those involved in this "constitutional coup" will be indicted in SPAK. Democrati warned of the same fate for those constitutional judges who choose to become part of this coup.

Këlliçi said that the conversations revealed by the media show a plan to dismiss judges with integrity and replace them with people trusted by the majority.

DECLARATION:

For several days, public opinion has been learning through the media about communications between the former president of the High Judicial Council, Naureda Llagami, and the socialist MP and chairwoman of the Laws Committee, Klotilda Bushka, where they haggled over appointments to the Constitutional Court.

These conversations, held between the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024, go beyond the gossip between friends in power.

They clearly testify to the initial steps of a constitutional coup, which aims to appoint to the Constitutional Court some of the leaders of the vetting structures, who have blindly served the Socialist Party and various clans within the majority, removing judges and prosecutors with integrity from office, and leaving judges "like Dvorani" in office, who had forgotten to declare 100 million lek.

Other senior officials were also involved in this constitutional coup, particularly Sokol Sadushi of the Supreme Court and current chairman of the Judicial Appointments Council.

Also, the President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, the man who, more than any other official, should be the guarantor of the Constitution, was fully involved in this constitutional coup.

In conversations revealed by the media, Llagami asks Bushka for help in obtaining a seat on the Constitutional Court.

But Bushka goes further. She and a sect within the Socialist Party, known as the line of the leader of 5D and the de facto owner of the Tirana incinerator, Erion Veliaj, intend to create three places to accommodate those left off the list of the Vetting Commission.

This sect has shown that in order to achieve its anti-constitutional goals, it is ready to oppose even the institution of the Albanian Parliament. In September 2024, the Speaker of the Parliament, Elisa Spiropali, announced the competition to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Elsa Toska. She had a full 9-year mandate.

But, Klotilda Bushka and her sect, in an unprecedented fight within the species, opposed Spiropal, aiming to undo the initiated procedure. The justification used by this sect was the constitutional provision for the three-year renewal of the body of judges.

The Constitution provides that only two mandates on the Constitutional Court are partial and they belong to judges Holta Zaçaj and Sandër Beci.

But Bushka and the sect he represents have another goal. Behind the attempt to undo the procedure for replacing Elsa Toska, lies the objective of terminating the mandate of the other judge, Sonila Bejtja.

Bushka and the "Veliaj clan" or "5D clan" in the Socialist Party want to tear apart the mandate of the resigned judge, Toska, in order to also seize the mandate of Judge Bejtja, who has been appointed to remain in office until 2028.

In order to seize the mandate of Judge Bejtja, President Bajram Begaj has also been involved in the constitutional coup. The latter, instigated by Bushka with the "5D clan", recently asked the Constitutional Court to interpret the term of judges.

In that letter, which is not only a legal disgrace for its writing style, but also anti-constitutional in its purpose, Taulant Balla's nominee for the Presidency seeks to remove Judge Sonila Bejtja.

The Democratic Party assures the members of this group that is carrying out an attack on the Constitution, from Begaj to Bushka, that they will end up in SPAK for these serious violations of the Fundamental Law.

The Democratic Party also guarantees that the same fate will befall those constitutional judges who, with full knowledge and in violation of the Constitution, will agree to become part of this masquerade to serve the mayor arrested for corruption, Erion Veliaj, and his Bushkas and other Bushkas.
