Renis Gjoka from the protest: Most of my friends have fled Albania

Artist Renis Gjoka was part of the speakers at the protest. He said he never thought the day would come when he would address thousands of people at a protest.

The artist said that he is affected by the problems that citizens face every day. He underlined that many citizens have surrendered, choosing to leave the country.

Gjoka said that most of his friends have left Albania. This reality, the artist emphasized, cannot be covered with propaganda.

He further added that encouraging emigration is the government's goal, while he asked the citizens not to give up, but to revolt against the government.

Full word:

I didn't think that one day I could climb a podium next to the Prime Minister and speak in front of so many people about concerns that affect us all, which we discuss every day with friends in fact.

It's a strange feeling, but it's also liberating to know that you think the same as me. Like you, I also think that in this country, things are not going as they should. I am not saying that we were the most perfect country in the world, but now problems are in the air.

Humiliation and scandals that replace one another in record time. But above all these times, I have noticed an extraordinary increased dose of stress, anxiety, uncertainty for the future, and mainly the fading of hope. This is where the situation begins and becomes serious.

Personally, I can allow myself all the downs and blows that life gives me, because after all, that's life, shake me up from time to time. But there's only one thing I never allow him to do, to bring me down to the point where he makes me give up. I will never do it because firstly I believe in God and I know that I always have him by my side, and secondly I believe in another chance that will be given to me. So in short, I always have hope. Hope not in vain, but based on my strengths and the idea that if you want to change something, I should be the one who should make the first attempt.

Jane mosha jone, jane biles edhe brezi me i ri. 18 - 20 vjecare qe jane full of energy e nuk e nxjerrin dot me ketu ne vendin e tyre. Duan te kontribuojne, vlojne perbrenda te shpalosin vitalitetin e tyre ne kete vend, dikush me fuqine e tij fizike, dikush me ate intelektuale. Por e shohin qe nuk ja vlen.

Pjesa me e madhe e miqve te mi, sot jane larguar. Pjesa me e madhe e fisit tim, njerezve te gjakut tim, jane jashte ketij vendi. Pjesa me e madhe e Shqiptareve kane ndertuar jeten jashte Shqiperise se tyre. Ky eshte realiteti. Nje realitet i cili nuk mbulohet dot me propagande e fjale te cilat jo vetem qe nuk te bejne t'i besosh, por te fyejne inteligjencen. Fjale tallese qe te neperkembin dinjitetin. E njeriu pa dinjitet eshte me shume se i dorezuar. Ne fakt mos t'ju duket habi. Ky eshte qellimi i tyre. Te dorezohemi pa kushte, deri ne ate pike sa mos te kemi fuqi te ngrejme as koken per t'i pare ne sy ata qe na poshterojne.

Maybe what I'm saying may seem cliché to some, but I really still believe and I don't give up for the reasons I told you above. If we want to bow our heads tomorrow in front of our children when they ask us why you didn't fight for us, then we disperse now, otherwise, I would very much like to give ourselves a chance for the new generation. For those who are currently powerless to react. For those who will look us in the eye tomorrow and despise us for the chance we had to change their lives, and we didn't.

With God on our side and with our heads up, let's give ourselves the opportunity once again, so that tomorrow when we face our children, grown men and women, they will say Thank you!
