Table for the agriculture budget/ Berisha: The government has declared the agriculture sector an enemy for years

The President of the DP, Sali Berisha held a meeting on the 2024 draft budget with experts and leaders of the Departments of Energy, Territorial Planning, Forests, Fisheries, Waters, Agriculture, Infrastructure-Transport and Sports at the Rogner Hotel.

In his speech, Berisha said that the government has declared the agricultural sector an enemy for years.

He accuses the government that the attitude towards this sector constitutes a real pyramid of frauds and forgeries.

Berisha : To read the budget for agriculture and rural Albania, many of you have the good fortune not to have read it, but those who read it, who remember the 5-year plans of the dictatorial regime, think they are reading a document of that nature.

A document that of course had its own meaning in the dictatorship, but today it is a mockery, mockery, cynicism towards the life, work, of more than 40% of Albanians.

This sector, which has wonderful, dedicated, skilled specialists who know it well, has put a person in charge, who speaks as if he comes from Mars.

He speaks as if he has nothing to do with that sector or with this country, announces numbers and percentages that shame anyone and in fact covers a big fraud, towards this extremely important sector.

If there is a sector that this government has declared an enemy for years, it is the agricultural sector and rural Albania.

If you study the fiscal system, you will not find on earth such a punitive system for the producer as the current system.

But if you listen to the new minister who says that Albania has 6 million cows, now you yourself understand how much this has to do with the countryside and Albania.

This statement of hers is scandalous and can be read in every paragraph of the budget they have presented for farmers. In all the statistics of percentages as a whole it does not stop in 2024, but talks about the year 2025-2026, because everything is false and they have to line up percentages, figures and how to cover the complete ignorance of this very important sector big, for the lives of 40% of the population, but also for the country's economy as a whole.

The entire attitude of the current government towards this sector constitutes a real pyramid of frauds and forgeries and in the end it is reduced to a figure of tens of millions of euros, which mostly ends up in the pockets of thieving governors.
