26 years since the Krusha e Madhe massacre

26 years ago, from March 25 to 27, 1999, Serbian forces carried out a horrific massacre in Kruše, Rahovec, where 243 people were killed and 893 houses were destroyed by fire. This tragic event remains the largest massacre to occur in Kosovo during the 1998-1999 war.

Unfortunately, many people from Kruše e Madhe still remain missing, and there has still not been a full and direct investigation into this grave crime. The Kruše massacre was part of the war crimes indictment against Slobodan Milošević and several other Serbian political and military figures.

However, no individual has been punished for the crimes committed in this village, and the investigative process has failed to bring justice to the victims and their families.
