The flames are out of control in the Pishporo forest, impossible to intervene

Since 18:00 yesterday, due to the high intensity of the wind, the flames in the pine forest in Pishporo have gone out of control, spreading over a wide area.

The fire department has requested reinforcements from the services of Lushnja, Divjaka, Rroskovec, Patos, which operated on the ground until midnight.

The strong wind has activated all the foci in the forest massif in the protected area.

Civil emergency director Haki Čako has also arrived on the ground to closely monitor the situation, accompanied by the district prefect Lefter Shehaj, who has stated that the situation is very difficult due to the impossibility of intervening from the air, as he has emphasized that operational forces will stay especially close to the inhabited area.

The flames continue to spread towards the plots planted mainly with corn of the residents of the area, while the strong wind does not help in bringing the fire under control, which has so far burned 500 ha of pine forest.
