The Supreme Court decides today on the case of former prosecutor general

The Supreme Court will decide today on the appeal of former Attorney General Adriatik Llalla against the decision to sentence him to 2 years in prison for failure to declare and conceal assets.

The decision will be made in a consultation room, while the Supreme Court previously rejected Llalla's request for a suspension of the sentence for health reasons. Llalla has taken refuge in Italy, where his passport has been blocked, and by a final decision, several of his assets have been seized, including an apartment in Durrës and a plot of land on the outskirts of Tirana.

Former Chief Prosecutor Llalla was found guilty of undeclaring and concealing assets in 3 episodes, undeclaring an amount of approximately 7 thousand dollars for the birth of his son abroad, the costs of building the third floor of the apartment, and his daughter's education in Germany.
