New details have emerged regarding the incident that occurred in a village in Lushnja, where 66-year-old Flamur Mane was injured in the early hours of the morning by a person who had gone to steal from his house, according to a police report.

But the 66-year-old's son has a different version of the story. Flamur Mana's son says the story goes deeper than that. He said there were conflicts between the two families that date back a decade.

In a statement to Balkan Web, Flamur Mane's son claims that there were actually 2 people at the scene,

Dedë Dedaj, 65 years old (the perpetrator according to the police) and his son Xhovalin Dedaj.

But according to the injured man's son, it was Xovalini who fired the shotgun at his father.

Flamur Mane's son says the perpetrator tried to kill his father with a pair of scissors in his face. He claims that the Dedaj family has repeatedly stolen from his family.

"They stole our horse, an incident reported to the police, they poisoned our chickens. Then Fatmir's younger son, Rifat Dedaj, cursed at my father and then hit my brother who lives in Italy," said the son, Flamur Manes.

"My father was hit to death with a pair of bullets in his face, where the bullets were also left. The intervention at the Military Hospital was necessary to remove them. The conflict happened 10 years ago. Then they stole from us repeatedly, they stole our horse, an event reported to the police, they poisoned our chickens.
