Sentenced to 12 years in prison, the former leader of Lazarat gang dies

Razip (Gate) Mahmutaj, who had been in prison for years, has passed away.

Mahmutaj was arrested in 2014 during an anti-drug operation in Lazarat. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison as part of the 'Lazarati' file.

It is learned that Gate Mahmutaj was diagnosed with a serious illness, and was released from the cell a few days ago to spend the last days at his home. Mahmutaj died in the apartment.

Mahmutaj was accused by the prosecution of being the leader of Lazarat's group, which organized cannabis cultivation as well as resistance to the RENEA Special Forces.
