A serious incident occurred this afternoon in Lezha, where 29-year-old Egzon Gegaj was injured by gunfire. According to the latest information, Gegaj was shot by a 23-year-old with the initials LN, who is currently on the run.

It is reported that the cause of the incident was a conflict between the parties, which escalated and led to the use of weapons.

Gegaj was shot three times in the chest and, after receiving first aid at the Lezha hospital, his health condition deteriorated, forcing his urgent transfer to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.

Police have surrounded the area and set up checkpoints to locate and apprehend the suspected perpetrator, LN. The investigative team is working intensively to clarify the circumstances of the incident and to secure other evidence that could lead to his identification and arrest.
