Competition for young composers, who are the three winners

Two Albanian composers and one female composer from Kosovo were the winners of the National Competition of Young Composers, named after the great Albanian musician Česk Zadeja.

In addition to the prizes, the works of these young composers will be staged and performed by the TKOB Symphony Orchestra.

Kris Sopiqoti, Jetmir Zaganjori and Fjolla Gashi are the three young composers who were declared winners of the "Česk Zadeja" National Competition. An international jury evaluated their works, and the innovations they bring to Albanian music.

During her speech, the general director of TKOB, Abigeila Voshtina, stated that the purpose of this competition is to create a continuity of generations but also to support young Albanian artists.

The jury of this edition consisted of three prominent names in Albanian music, such as: Academician and ethnomusicologist Vaso Tole, composer Eriona Rushiti, several times participating in Eurovision representing Albania with her work, and Composer Gerti Druga, winner of a number of international awards and former artistic director of the People's Song and Dance Ensemble.

While the Italian members of the jury, Roberta Vacca and Mauro Cardi, are composers and professors of composition in the best music schools in Italy, as well as creators of well-known European works.
