The Assembly of Kosovo, with 67 votes in favor has voted the new composition of the Government of Kosovo, which will be led by Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

The Kurti 2 government was voted in the extraordinary session of the Assembly of Kosovo, convened today immediately after the constitution of the eighth legislature of Kosovo.

Kurti also presented the composition of his government, while the appointment of the Minister of Culture, Hajrullah Çeku, stood out.

Ceku is not an unknown name for Albania. In 2017, he was appointed Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Tourism and Environment in the Government of Albania, but a year later, on October 31, 2018, Çeku resigned for family reasons, as he wrote in a Facebook post.

Prandaj edhe besoj që nga tani e tutje më takon të mbart më tepër mbi supe. Jo se ndonjëherë do të arrij në nivelin e njëjtë me të, por të paktën dua të sigurohem që e jap të gjithën që mund ta jap.

For this reason, relying on his understanding and support, I have asked Prime Minister Rama to dismiss me from the post of Deputy Minister of Tourism and Environment in the Government of Albania. These 13 months in Albania have been the most fantastic experience of my professional and public engagement. As part of a dedicated team, I am happy to have been offered the opportunity to contribute to what was considered one of the best tourist seasons. The opportunity to serve Albania has been my main motive for accepting the task, while providing this service under the leadership of Prime Minister Rama makes this service a unique life experience.

Deeply grateful and more than ever committed to continue serving Albania in other forms, with a focus on deepening cooperation with Kosovo.
