The price of oil drops significantly on the stock exchange, the Transparency Board increases it by 6 ALL/liter

Although oil prices on international exchanges have marked a significant drop in the last week, reaching the lowest levels since before the outbreak of the Russian war in Ukraine, the Transparency Board does not reflect it in the new decision.

At the last meeting, the Board came out with a new decision on the price of fuel in the country, and what stands out is that oil has increased by 6 Lek.

Gas is reduced by 2 lek, while the price of gasoline does not change.

The retail price of the gasoil by-product of the SSH EN 590 standard should be no more than 227 ALL/liter, while the wholesale price no more than 215 ALL/liter.

The retail price of the SSH EN standard gasoline by-product should be no more than 201 ALL/liter, while the wholesale price no more than 189 ALL/liter.

The retail price of the gas by-product should be 78 ALL/liter retail and 66 ALL/liter wholesale for vehicles.

(Note: the selling price for liquefied gas for vehicles will be the supply price at gas stations, while at other points for household and industrial consumers, the price should not include excise duty).

The prices set by the Board will come into force today, August 17 at 18.00 pm and will be valid until the next meeting of the Board where the changes in the sales prices will be reflected.

 The Board clarifies the public opinion that it applies with due care the normative act in force, aiming at the protection of consumers in these conditions of the world crisis and the instability of the prices of oil by-products.

In this context, the Board emphasizes that:

Për të informuar drejt dhe pa shtrembërime opinionin publik, media dhe faktorët e ndryshëm politikë dhe jopolitikë duhet ti referohen të dhënave zyrtare të  agjencisë ndërkombëtare “S&P Global Platts” në USD, për bursen e mesdheut.  Administrata Doganore është orientuar që të bëjë publik informacionin mbi lëvizjet e kësaj burse me qëllim që askush të mos shtrembërojë realitetin dhe të abuzojë me informacionin.

ii.Nga Vendimi i fundit i Bordit Nr. 45, Prot, datë  11.8.2022, i cili i referohet të dhënave zyrtare të  agjencisë ndërkombëtare “S&P Global Platts” në USD të datës 10.8.2022, lëvizja e çmimeve ka qënë si vijon:

Date 11.08.2022: Gasoline 10 ppm +29 USD/ton; Gasoil 10ppm +42 USD/ton

Date 12.08.2022: Gasoline 10 ppm + 6 USD/ton; Gasoil 10ppm + 66 USD/ton

Date 15.08.2022: Gasoline 10 ppm - 5 USD/ton; Gasoil 10ppm + 41 USD/ton

Date 16.08.2022: Gasoline 10 ppm -20 USD/ton; Gasoil 10ppm +40 USD/ton

iii. The LEK/USD exchange rate, which also impacts the final fuel price, has increased by +1.42 lek, compared to the official exchange rate used at the last Board meeting.

So, despite the fact that the prices in the stock market have tended to increase, in the last week, the Board has not taken an immediate decision on the increase in the price of by-products.
