Rescue operation in Klos, Ministry: Collapsed massif endangers teams, search for

The Ministry of Defense has announced that efforts are continuing to find the body of 29-year-old Ardit Beshir, who was trapped under a large mass of soil in the Klos chrome mine. According to authorities, the search operation remains complex due to the large size of the landslide and the danger posed by the terrain for rescue teams.

The serious incident occurred on May 3, at around 2:30 p.m., at the location known as "Qafa e Burrelit", on the premises of the chrome processing factory. The mass of soil engulfed an excavator in which the company's employee, Ardit Beshir, was located, trapping him and making it impossible to locate him until now.

According to official data, the landslide has covered an area with estimated dimensions of about 500 meters long, 20 meters wide and over 4 meters deep. The terrain in the affected area is still unstable, which has prevented the use of heavy vehicles and increased the risk for teams working at the scene.
