Appointed a lawyer to oppose the deportation, the power of attorney that "burys" Irena Gjoka appears

The story of special judge Irena Gjoka is turning into a real scandal. Yesterday, a document from the Ioannina court was published in the press, confirming her conviction for illegally crossing the border with a forged visa.

The publication of this document, the existence of which had been rumored for more than a year, further aggravated the position of the head of the GJKKO, who is also the judge of the sensational trials against opposition politicians, as the suspicion that she had lied twice before the vetting commission was strengthened, stating that she had never been convicted inside or outside the country and that she had never been expelled from an EU country was also strengthened.

To this claim, the judge made an evasive and vague denial, speaking about Birn. While the document spoke of a conviction by the Ioannina court, she claimed to be clean in the Athens court.

"I have absolutely not been convicted by any of the Greek justice authorities," said Judge Irena Gjoka over the phone, while forwarding BIRN several documents forwarded by the Greek judicial authorities in Athens, which state that there is no evidence of any criminal proceedings against Irena Gjoka, who has previously also held the surnames Shpata and Maneku.

"Within the framework of the official verifications that the General Prosecutor's Office is conducting, based on the decriminalization law, the Greek authorities have officially responded to the institution's request, confirming that I, Judge Irena Gjoka, not only have not been convicted, but there is no negative data in my name in any law enforcement institutions," said Gjoka, adding that the accusations were intimidation and obstruction in the exercise of duty.

But, after the publication of the document that she had been convicted, Lapsi.al today managed to secure an exclusive document that proves her other lie. This new evidence proves that she was deported from Greece for crossing the border with forged documents.

After this happened to Irena, who at that time still bore the surname Maneku, together with her last husband, Stefanaq Gjoka, they made a power of attorney (facsimile below) with a notary in Fier to authorize a lawyer in Patras, named Andon Konomi, to pursue their case.

So, the goal was to annul the deportation measure taken by the Greek side. This power of attorney dated March 31, 2003, before notary Fejzo Behaj, which Lapsi is publishing today, best proves with the own mouth of Irena Gjoka that she accepts that she was deported from Greece (document below). But when it came to telling the truth on the decriminalization form, she lied, saying she had never been deported.
