The Special Prosecution Office has reacted after the incident involving the family members of the former mayor of Mallakastra, Agron Kapllanaj, and agents of the National Bureau of Investigation.

SPAK states that the agents were attacked by Kapllanaj's family members while they were carrying out their investigative duties. SPAK emphasizes that there was no motive for the attack, while adding that the actions taken by BKH are in accordance with the law.

"The National Bureau of Investigation confirms the attack that occurred on the evening of April 15 against National Bureau of Investigation investigators and State Police officers in the Fier region.

BKH investigators and State Police officers were carrying out delegated investigative tasks, within the framework of an investigation by the Special Structure against Corruption and Organized Crime.

Based on the information provided by the Local Police Directorate, Fier (DVP) and the verifications carried out, the incident occurred at around 19:20, on the Fier - Patos axis. While BKH investigators and State Police officers were carrying out their duties, they were attacked without any motive by persons already identified and escorted to the DVP, Fier.

All investigative and procedural actions related to the event are being carried out by the Prosecutor's Office of General Jurisdiction, Fier.

SPAK underlines that all actions taken by the BKH are in accordance with the law and under the direct supervision of special prosecutors.

"SPAK calls on citizens to cooperate with justice institutions and to respect the authority of investigators and the State Police who act in the performance of their duties. The integrity and safety of BKH investigators and State Police officers is essential in our commitment to fighting corruption and organized crime ," the announcement states.
