The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Bajram Begaj, is the candidate for President of the Republic proposed by the Socialist Party.

But, in addition to him, other names of candidates have been proposed and discussed in the list of socialists today at the meeting of the Presidency, some of them quite talked about these days in the media.  

According to Panorama.al, besides Bajram Begaj, who was the choice of the Socialist Party, Ina Rama, Majlinda Bregu, Pëllumb Xhufin, Kozeta Sevrani and Ardian Dvorani were also in the race.

Prime Minister Edi Rama announced after the meeting of the SP Presidency, that the majority proposed the name of Bajram Bega to take the post of new President, but he himself was not among the proposing names.
