Protest in front of Parliament against Rama's stance on the war in Gaza: Not in our name

Protest in front of Parliament against Rama's stance on the war in Gaza:

A group of associations, mainly of Albanian Muslim believers, protested this Thursday in front of Parliament, in opposition to the position of the Albanian government and Prime Minister Edi Rama on the war in the Gaza Strip.

The rally was held under the motto "Not in my name - Rally for Palestine", and followed the decoration of Prime Minister Rama with the Presidential Medal of Honor by the State of Israel. According to the organizers, this act is unacceptable and does not represent the feelings of many Albanian citizens.

"Rama made a fatal mistake by going to Israel, he has lowered his own values. Our prime minister should not support this ugly crime that Israel is committing," some of the protesters told the media.

They consider Rama's decoration as an appreciation not on behalf of the Albanian people, but as a reward for the support he has given to, according to them, "the genocide being committed in Gaza."

Protesters demanded that Albania take a more impartial and humanitarian stance in the face of the bloody conflict between Israel and Palestine, emphasizing Albanian solidarity with the Palestinian people.
