The hearing for the "Partizani" file is postponed again, the set date

The court hearing on the "Partizani" case has been postponed to April 15, 2:00 PM, due to the absence of the defendant's defense attorney, Xhimi Begeja.

Also under investigation for this file is the leader of the DP, Sali Berisha, who is accused by SPAK of having undertaken legal changes to benefit his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi, enabling the latter to build the business of a company from which he benefited 5.4 million euros.

Berisha is accused of the criminal offense of "Passive corruption of high-ranking state officials or local elected officials", committed in collaboration, while his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi, is accused of the criminal offense of "Passive corruption of high-ranking state officials or local elected officials", committed in collaboration, as well as "Laundering of the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity".

According to SPAK, when Berisha was prime minister, he set the legal basis in function of his son-in-law's interests, and he also exerted pressure on his subordinates to encourage the fastest completion of the procedures for the return of property and privatization of the degraded buildings of the former "Partizani" sports club.
