"How will you fight government corruption?", the German media nailed

While preparing to participate in the second intergovernmental conference, Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke to the German media ZDF .

The latter asked Rama how he plans to fight the corruption that has gripped all departments and levels of government, as revealed by the report of the State Department.

Rama has tried to avoid the answer by orienting it towards what the head of the Socialists calls "independent justice", and with which he is proud to be hitting high-level officials, some of whom were once members of the district his closest.

"When you read the report of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, please read what is written there about other countries, even EU countries. And please read the European Commission report as well. The Commission thanks Albania for the largest and most comprehensive justice reform in the region.

Thanks to this reform, people connected to power, whether in power or in opposition, will face independent judges and prosecutors. They will be accused and punished. Of course we still have problems with corruption. But we are on the right path" , said Rama.
