Gazmit Preçi, the head of Antidrug, was arrested yesterday by the Police Surveillance Agency.

Preçi is accused of threatening a businessman that he would close his business (night club) at Ura e Dajlani because, according to him, several uninsured people were working. The head of Anti-Drugs imposed a hefty fine of 20,000 euros.

Faced with pressure, the citizen decided to denounce the case.

The Police Surveillance Agency organized the citizen's trap meeting with the anti-drug chief Gazmir Preçi. The meeting was organized in a bar in the area of ​​Kinostudios in Tirana, where the citizen handed over 10 thousand euros to Preçi. As soon as the officer received the money, the AMP officers intervened to arrest Preci.

Preçi is not an unknown name for justice. In 2021, the Fier Regional Directorate of the SCBA, set personal security measures for some police officers of the chain of command and in charge of the Mallakastër Police Station who had allowed the planting of drugs by the Vjosa River. Among them was the name of Gazmir Preçi, against whom the security measure "obligation to appear" was imposed.
