Serb protests against Albanian leaders continue, the EU increases diplomatic pressure on Kosovo
Protests against the Albanian mayors of municipalities with a Serbian majority in the north of Kosovo continue today - for the fifth day in a row.
The number of participants was lower yesterday, compared to the previous days. Kosovo has been put under diplomatic pressure to escalate the situation. The European Union joined calls by France and Germany to hold new elections in the north.
There are three demands that the EU issued for Kosovo:
1. New choices now.
2. To ensure the participation of Kosovo Serbs in them.
3. Start work on the establishment of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority
"Failure to do this will have serious consequences for our relationship," said EU foreign policy chief Joseph Borrell./REL
