Yuri Kim fired: She is given the role of 'advisor', unhappy she is

Yuri Kim is no longer the Deputy Secretary of State for Europe, and this is evidenced not only by the removal of her name and photo from the official website of the State Department. A Politiko.al source in Washington, DC, confirms her dismissal from the high post.

In the meantime, she continues to be employed at the State Department in another capacity as a 'senior adviser' in the Department's Bureau of Europe. According to the source, she is looking for 'other options', meaning outside the State Department, and is unhappy with her dismissal. Ms. Kim thus became one of the many senior officials in the State Department dismissed or moved to lower positions after Trump's victory and Marco Rubio's arrival as the head of the State Department.

It is not known whether she is under investigation, but the reaction to her and other State Department officials, led until a few months ago by Antony Blinken, in conservative circles is public.

These circles frequently target Kim for her ultraliberal agenda. They have also mentioned her work as Ambassador to Albania.

Kim became infamous for her "you'll eat grass" remark to the Albanian Democrats (a right-wing part) after they decided to support Sali Berisha, whom her boss declared "non grata."

Kim became a controversial figure in Tirana, closely linked to the socialists and toxic to opposition figures.
