US President Donald Trump, through a post on the Truth Social platform, has provided new details about his phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to the post, the two leaders had a very good and productive conversation, reaching an agreement for an immediate ceasefire in the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Trump wrote that during the conversation, he and Putin agreed to an immediate ceasefire, with the goal of working together for a complete ceasefire, which will ultimately lead to a harsh end to the war between Russia and Ukraine.

In his tweet, Trump stressed: " My phone call today with President Putin of Russia was a very good and productive conversation. We agreed to an immediate ceasefire on all energy and infrastructure, with the understanding that we will work quickly to achieve a complete ceasefire and, ultimately, end this very terrible war between Russia and Ukraine."

According to Trump's statements, the next step will be for the US president to try to get Ukraine to agree to a 30-day halt to attacks on energy infrastructure. He also reiterated his claims that the war would never have started under his leadership, adding that many elements of a peace deal were discussed, including the fact that thousands of soldiers lost their lives in the conflict.

Trump concluded the post by noting: Together, both President Putin and President Zelensky would like to see this war end. This process is now in full force and effect, and we will finish this job, hopefully, for the sake of humanity!
