CEC publishes results: 90% of votes counted in Kosovo, Vetëvendosje leads

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has published the latest data on the vote counting process in the February 9 elections, where 90.13% of the votes have been counted so far.

According to the results so far, the Vetëvendosje Movement leads the race with 41.00% of the vote, which translates into 311,907 votes. The Democratic Party of Kosovo ranks behind it with 22.37% or 170,198 votes, while the Democratic League of Kosovo has secured 17.57% of the vote, respectively 133,693 votes.

Of the other parties, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo and the Social Democratic Initiative received 7.56% of the votes (57,539 votes), while the Serbian List secured 3.98% of the votes (30,273 votes). The Coalition for Families received 2.30% or 17,505 votes.

The counting process is continuing and the final results are expected in the coming hours. The CEC has announced that the participation in the election was 40.59%, with a total of 799,954 citizens voting out of 1,970,944 citizens with the right to vote.
