Five questions for the Secret Service after the assassination of Trump

Some important questions have been raised for the US Secret Service to answer after the assassination of Donald Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania.
The BBC writes that the FBI has taken on the role of lead investigator in the incident, during which one person was killed and two others were seriously injured - while Trump was injured in the ear.
As the US seeks answers, the Secret Service says it is working to find out "what happened, how it happened and how we can prevent an incident like this from happening again."
Her boss, Kimberly Cheatle, has been called to testify before a US House committee on July 22.
Here are some of the questions that experts have begun to ask:

Why wasn't the gunman's roof secured beforehand? Were the gunman warnings broadcast?
Was the Secret Service too dependent on the local police?
Was the event properly resourced?
Was Trump removed from the stage soon enough?
