Plane crash in Nepal/ No survivors, Monday declared a day of national mourning

Search and rescue teams have no hope of finding survivors after the plane crashed with 72 people on board. The air accident happened a day ago in Nepal.

All 72 people are reported to have lost their lives. This is Nepal's worst air disaster in decades.

The Yeti Airlines plane had departed from Kathmandu to the tourist town of Pokhara. The cause of the accident remains unclear.

The plane crashed into the ground at the mouth of the Seti River, just over a kilometer from the airport. The Prime Minister of Nepal has declared Monday a day of national mourning.

Of the passengers, 53 were said to be Nepalese. There were five Indians, four Russians and two Koreans on the plane. There was also a passenger from Ireland, Australia, Argentina and France among others.
