Riots in the North of Kosovo, Russia supports Serbia: Respect the rights of the

Russia has commented on the tense situation in the north of Kosovo, where it supports the Serbian population. The spokesman of the Kremlin, Dimitry Peskov, said that the rights and interests of the Serbs in Kosovo must be protected, as he emphasized that Russia is closely following the unrest in Kosovo.

"We are monitoring the situation and we absolutely unconditionally support Serbia, we support the Serbs. We believe that all the rights and legitimate interests of the Kosovo Serbs should be ensured and respected and that there should be no place for any provocative actions that limit their rights. We are very carefully monitoring how the situation develops and we are concerned about it," said Peskov.

Peskov also said that meetings between the presidents of Russia and Serbia, Vladimir Putin and Aleksandar Vucic, have not yet been scheduled.
