Trump: I will talk to Putin on Tuesday to end the war in Ukraine and divide the

US President Donald Trump has announced that he will discuss ending the war in Ukraine with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday. Trump stressed that a lot of work was done over the weekend in trying to reach an agreement and that there is a good chance of concluding this conflict.

"I'm going to talk to President Putin on Tuesday. A lot of work was done over the weekend. We want to see if we can bring that war to an end. Maybe we can, maybe we can't, but I think we have a very good chance," Trump told reporters during a delayed flight from Florida to Washington on Air Force One.

Trump is seeking Putin's support for a proposed 30-day ceasefire, which Ukraine accepted last week. The proposal comes as the sides continue to exchange heavy air strikes and Russia is close to withdrawing Ukrainian forces from their month-long base in the Kursk region, a western Russian region.

Regarding the topics he will discuss, Trump has stated: "We will talk about land. We will talk about power plants. I think we have a lot of them discussed already by both sides, Ukraine and Russia. We are already talking about this, sharing certain assets."

This development comes at a critical moment in the war, given the tense situation and international efforts to stop the violence and find a peaceful solution.
