Strong turbulence during the flight to Frankfurt, 11 people remain injured
Eleven people were injured on a Lufthansa flight from Buenos Aires to Frankfurt after the plane experienced severe turbulence over the Atlantic.
According to a Lufthansa spokesperson, “Five passengers and six crew members suffered mostly minor injuries. The safety of the flight was not compromised at any time."
After the Boeing 747-8, carrying 329 passengers and 19 crew members, arrived safely in Frankfurt around 10:53 a.m., the injured were immediately treated by medical teams.
According to the airline, the turbulence was brief and occurred in an intratropical convergence zone.
