The head of the parliamentary group of the SP, Taulant Balla, has shown the reason why Prime Minister Edi Rama was absent from the interpellation called by the democratic deputies regarding the 'McGonigal' scandal.

In a statement to the media outside the Assembly, Balla justified Rama's absence, saying that the prime minister had an agenda and has the right to delegate the questioning.

He called the 'McGonigal' scandal a ridiculous issue, when in fact the entire US continues to extract new details from the scandal.

"This was a session that I believe every Albanian understands that we are dealing with an opposition that has no interest whatsoever in the issue they want to have information about. The Prime Minister can delegate the matter of an interpellation.

The session today was funny. A number of charges have been filed and some of those who took the floor also filed lawsuits, speaking on behalf of American justice. And imagine who speaks in the name of American justice, those who go after the man the US has declared nongrata.

The prime minister of Albania has an agenda and during the development of this senate for important laws that pass today, he is on duty" , said Balla.
