The officer arrested in Greece for drug trafficking, Balla reacts: He is excluded
Interior Minister Taulant Balla reacted after a police officer was handcuffed in the Greek state.
Balla announced that Amarildo Kureta was dismissed from the ranks of the police, and that he was no longer on duty as of August 2.
It is learned that Kureta worked for several years in the Berat Local Police Directorate, where he was part of the operatives of the Operational Forces in this directorate.
He had received his annual leave and was going on holiday, but as soon as he entered the Greek customs he was handcuffed. The official sources of DVP Berat confirm that they have not received any notification from Interpol that their officer was a person "wanted" for drug trafficking.
Kureta was wanted by the Italian state, where he is accused of drug trafficking, after several years of investigations and encryption of telephone conversations between the officer and a structured crime network in the field of narcotics.
