The Italian court turned back for the third time the illegal immigrants who were to be placed in the Gjadri and Shëngjin camps, based on the agreement that Prime Minister Rama signed with his Italian counterpart Giorgia Meloni.

From Spain, where he is on an official visit, Rama preferred not to comment on the court's decision. He said that the question was up to Meloni.

"I have no opinion on this. The question should be directed to my Italian sister, Giorgia Meloni. We were asked to help, and we agreed to help. We owe a lot to Italy, especially after the fall of communism. Recently, when we had the unfortunate earthquake, Italian search and rescue teams came and helped us. You should ask the Italian side, not us ," Rama said.

Asked whether there will be a similar agreement with Spain when they integrate into the EU, Rama said that it was a plan that would not find a place for realization.

"I'm not sure it would make much sense because it has a lot to do with geography. We are connected by sea with Italy. The only thing that makes this agreement reasonable is that the immigrants do not stop in Italy but in Albania. For Spain, I do not see it feasible to stop the immigrants in Albania," he said.
