Prime Minister Edi Rama has responded to accusations that he has been labeled a "traitor" due to the "Open Balkans" initiative, which he undertook together with Serbia and Northern Macedonia.

Through a Facebook post, Rama writes that those who to this day blame and call him a traitor, are wrong because he was the first to speak loudly in the middle of Belgrade about the recognition of Kosovo.

"First of all, I am the one who in the middle of Belgrade spoke loudly about the recognition of Kosovo by Serbia and as if everyone defended the recognition of Kosovo in foreign languages, at least as I defend it, everywhere and anytime, today Kosovo "It would be much more respected internationally ," he wrote.

He emphasizes that the "Open Balkans" is not only the path of the future for the prosperity of the Albanian nation as a European nation, but also an opportunity to recognize Kosovo as a state by Serbia.

Yesterday I had the special pleasure to visit from Kosovo the two golden Albanian girls of Tokyo, together with their phenomenal coach. They asked to meet me and I felt very honored. Koha nuk ndalet dhe paqja nuk fitohet me mjetet e luftës. A mund ta fitojë Kosova paqen dhe a mund të lulëzojë shteti i saj i ri, po edhe shqiptaria si e tërë, duke e kthyer Dialogun me Serbinë në një monolog që nuk i prish asnjë punë Serbisë (përkundrazi acaron prej vitesh tanimë nervat e aleatëve tanë të pazëvendësueshëm strategjikë, të cilëve për krejt fajin e monologuesve të Kosovës, Serbia u duket gjithnjë e më e pafajshme, ndërsa Kosova gjithnjë e më pak e arsyeshme)?

E bëj këtë pyetje, sepse prej 8 vjetësh tanimë e dëshmoj në vetë të parë, trajektoren gjithnjë e më në rënie të respektit e të durimit të tyre me Prishtinën zyrtare dhe më dhembin gjithnjë e më shumë shtrembërimet e buzëve të tyre, kur flitet për Kosovën.

A mundet të zgjidhet çështja e madhe e njohjes së Kosovës nga Serbia, duke e thelluar më tutje deformimin e madh disavjeçar tashmë në Kosovë, të bërjes së politikës së brendshme të Prishtinës politikë të jashtme të Kosovës dhe anasjelltas, si edhe duke e futur në shabllonin vulgar të tradhëtisë dhe vetë politikën e re rajonale të Tiranës zyrtare?

E bëj këtë pyetje këtu, për t'iu thënë të gjithë atyre në Kosovë që e kanë gjetur tradhëtarin tek unë, se së pari, unë jam po ai që në mes të Beogradit fola me zë të lartë për njohjen e Kosovës nga Serbia dhe sikur të tërë ta mbronin njohjen e Kosovës në gjuhë të huaj të paktën siç e mbroj unë, kudo e kurdoherë, sot Kosova do të ishte shumë më e respektuar ndërkombëtarisht.

Së dyti, Ballkani i Hapur është jo vetëm rruga e të ardhmes për prosperitetin e kombit shqiptar, si komb europian që përkatësinë e vet e ka në Europën e Bashkuar, por është edhe një mundësi e re dhe e madhe më shumë, në rrugën drejt njohjes së Kosovës nga Serbia; sa për një nga shumë shembuj të dobisë së madhe të Ballkanit të Hapur, kush nuk do që ta kuptojë pse Ballkani i Hapur e heq më në fund kufirin mes Shqipërisë e Kosovës, le të më thotë pse nuk e kanë hequr dot deri më sot ata që e kanë premtuar me bujë dhe pse nuk e heq dot pa Ballkanin e Hapur atë kufi, asnjë prej atyre të cilëve "nuk u han luli" për aleatët e pazëvendësueshëm strategjikë të Kosovës e të Shqipërisë bashkë, që e mbështesin plotësisht nismën Open Balkan.
