Farmers in difficulty, Egyptian potatoes outstrip Steblevë's

Although it has been known for years for its value and quality, the Stëbleva potato is no longer preferred by traders this season, putting its growers in the Fushë-Studeni area, in the Elbasan district, in serious difficulties.

A simple check in this area is enough and it is not difficult to find farmers with tons of unsold potatoes. When asked, they say that traders who used to come regularly are now refusing to buy them, claiming that the potatoes are being imported.

One of the farmers also points out the country where, according to him, the potatoes that are competing with local production come from.
