Kurti's invitation to constitute the Assembly, PDK responds, LDK refuses

The acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, and also the leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, sent an official letter today to the leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lumir Abdixhiku, and the leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Memli Krasniqi, inviting them to a consultative meeting with the aim of constituting the new Parliament.

The meeting is scheduled to be held tomorrow, May 1st.

In the letter to Abdixhiku, Kurti emphasized the importance of representing the three largest parties in the positions of deputy speakers of the Assembly, requesting a joint meeting on this issue, but the Democratic League of Kosovo rejected the invitation.

On the other hand, the leader of the PDK, Krasniqi, has announced that he has responded positively to Kurti's invitation.  "I will respond positively to this invitation for a meeting, deeply believing that the Republic of Kosovo urgently needs institutional unblocking ," Krasniqi declared on social networks,
