Spring fatigue, why it happens and how to cope with it! The tips you need to be

Spring and the gradual transition to summer temperatures can be a period when we feel fatigue that can make our days more difficult.

Difficulty falling asleep at night, daytime sleepiness, irritability, and difficulty concentrating are especially common during seasonal changes, such as when we move from winter to spring, but also when the first hot days of early summer arrive.

The month of May can be particularly critical, with its typical alternation of cool and warmer days.

These constant transitions can put the body to the test, which manifests its discomfort with symptoms often defined as "spring fever."

Why does it happen?

It can be caused by:

Temperature changes

Changes in atmospheric pressure

Disturbance of the body's biological rhythm (circadian)

Increased exposure to sunlight

Increased workload from school or work

These affect mood and energy levels.

Tips to combat spring fatigue

1. Sleep well and regularly

Sleep 7-8 hours every night.

Keep a regular sleep schedule.

Avoid electronic devices before bed.

Limit caffeine

2. Eat healthy and light

Eat foods rich in vitamins and minerals (e.g. green vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts)

Use foods with iron, magnesium and potassium to combat fatigue

3. Drink enough water

Drink at least 1.5 liters of water a day.

Dehydration can cause fatigue

Water helps bodily functions and increases energy.

4. Do physical activity regularly

Walking, running or yoga help improve mood and energy

Outdoor exercise helps with vitamin D

It is better to exercise in the morning.

5. Stay in natural light

Sunlight helps biological rhythm and mood

Even a short walk outside every day makes a difference
