A doctor has been criminally prosecuted in Durrës for negligence in medical treatment.
The doctor was prosecuted after a patient who was undergoing surgery died in the operating room.
"The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Durrës DVKM referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings were initiated in a free state for the offense of "Neglect in Medical Treatment", against citizen I. Sh., 59 years old, resident of Durrës, with the duty of a doctor, after citizen M. Xh., 54 years old, resident of Durrës, lost her life during a surgical intervention in his clinic," the police statement states.
