A shocking event was recorded in the Artemis area, near Athens, where a 41-year-old Albanian citizen was executed with a firearm. The victim, who was still alive after the assassination, managed to call his wife in the last moments of his life, telling her that he had been shot by a friend of his.

According to reports from the Greek media, his wife, alarmed by the dramatic phone call, used the Find My iPhone app to find her husband's whereabouts. She immediately contacted the Greek Police, which mobilized units of the DIAS force and went with her to the signaled area.

At the intersection of Arionos and Anemoessas streets in Artemida, police found the victim's phone covered in blood, but his body was not there. After a few minutes of searching, the officers found the dead body of the Albanian a few meters away from the place where the mobile phone was located.

The Greek authorities have launched investigations to identify the perpetrator, who according to the victim's latest testimony was a person he considered a friend. The full identity of the victim or the possible motives of the murder have not yet been made public.

The event has shocked the Albanian community in Greece and has once again brought to attention the dangers associated with crimes between close people, which often remain unsolved for years.

The Greek police are in pursuit of the perpetrator and an official statement is expected in the coming hours.
