The bullet hit him in the cheek!" The identity of the Albanian who was

A serious criminal event has shook the coastal area of Rafina, in Athens, today, where an Albanian citizen was executed with a firearm inside a vineyard. The victim has been identified by the authorities as Altin Arapaj, 41 years old, of Albanian origin and with a criminal record in Greece.

According to the Greek media, Arapaj was shot in the face, while after the injury he managed to call his wife, telling her in a weak voice: "A friend shot me." It was this call that was the key to his location, as the wife used the "Find My iPhone" app to find the location of her husband's phone.

The Greek police together with the victim's wife arrived at the intersection of Arionos and Anemoessas streets in Artemis, where the victim's cell phone was first found covered in blood. Arapaj's dead body was found a few minutes later, near the scene.

Involved in drug trafficking
Sources from the Greek police indicate that Altin Arapaj is involved in drug trafficking and other criminal offenses, which has increased suspicions that the murder may be the result of a conflict within criminal networks.

The Greek authorities have launched investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the event and identify the perpetrator of the murder, for whom the victim has left a clear lead - a "friend" who previously enjoyed his trust.

The area is surrounded by police forces, while investigations are in an intensive phase. It is expected that in the coming hours other data will be published by the Greek authorities.
